Should Cell Phones Be Allowed At School
I think that cell phones should be aloud at school but only used when needed. For example when you need to research or use it for a project, then I think they should be aloud just as long as you are not fooling around during class. Unless it is lunch time as no one is breaking the rules I feel that students should be aloud to have free time on their devices. Also as it states in the states in the text a lot of students follow the rules of the ban anyways.
So what I think should have happened instead of the ban was just if people were not using their phones for what they needed to be the teacher could take them away instead putting ban on all students. The reason I say this is because in my class most of the students use their devices following the rules, but if they don't the teacher could just take that students away, instead of the whole class not being aloud.That is I feel personally because the kids that use their phones following the rule do not deserve punishment for doing nothing wrong.
Also It states in the text that one of the teachers think that responsibility is a good strategy to use, and out of that article I think that that would probably work the best instead of the ban. By doing that they still are allowed to use their devices just not for fooling around.
In conclusion I do not agree with banning devices and think they should just be used responsibly.
